AMERICANA INTERNATIONAL #29
A big thank you to you all for supporting this year's Americana International festival.
With mixed weather during the lead up to the opening day it didn't look too promising. with record advance bookings we were conscious that the weekend may be spoilt by being a wet one.
As we are reliant on our day visitors we thought that we were going to have a disastrous festival. But somebody must be looking out for us because Saturday & Sunday turned out just fine with no rain & red hot sunshine on the last day.
The sheer variety of live music was perhaps the best we have ever had, plus the addition of our daily record hop with 'Wildcat Pete' heading up a strong bill of top class rocking DJ's & jive tutors proved to be very popular with both listeners & dancers all over the weekend.
Without singling out any one particular artists I have to say that all of them gave their very best. The sound system on the main stage was the best ever, crystal clear & loud without distortion.
The turnout of automobiles, bikes, trucks & RV's was unbeatable and the general condition of these magnificent machines a credit to their owners. Congratulations to the 40 recipients of the prestigious awards that were presented on the weekend.

Please remember that as long as you arrive in or on an American vehicle you will qualify for a good discount over the regular weekend advance booking fee. The maximum occupancy per vehicle for our discount is now two adults per vehicle (children under 16 go free).
